Discover Biloxi Lighthouse

Best Time to Visit and Accessibility: The preferred time for visitors is between 10 AM and 4 PM. So, go earlier if you want a less crowded experience. Besides, temperatures after midday are higher.

Maritime & Seafood Industry Museum

After the American Civil War, Biloxi opened its first cannery. It led to shrimp, oyster, and other seafood processing factories. So, the seafood industry has been an important part of Biloxi’s economy since then. Some of the exhibits are the Biloxi Seafood Factory Gallery and the Wooden Boat Gallery. Entry Fees: The entrance fee is reasonable, $10 per adult, and there are discounts for seniors, military, and students. Parking is free and there are elevators to all 3 levels if you don’t like stairs.
Best Time to Visit and Accessibility: Opened from Monday to Saturday, from 9 AM to 4:30 PM. From 12 PM to 4 PM on Sundays. We recommend you explore it on weekdays when there are not lots of visitors compared to weekends.
Special Highlights: There’s a general idea that this museum is only about seafood but it’s so much more. A movie is projected on the 3rd floor. It is over an hour long but worth it. It is about Hurricane Katrina and it shows the unbelievable devastation. It brings tears to the eyes as it is very moving. There’s also a nice gift shop on the bottom level so you can go home with a souvenir.

Go on a Shrimping Trip

Once you have learned about Biloxi’s seafood industry, why not give it a try yourself? Leaving and returning from Beach Blvd, this Shrimping Trip is one of the best things to do in Biloxi, MS. Go aboard the Sailfish and learn about catching shrimps and other seafood creatures! You’ll feel like a real fisherman, casting your net in the sea. You’ll also be able to take part in the process as tour guides explain their techniques.
